We want to go far. We believe in the power of community, and support it through all our efforts. It is not ourselves who seek the limelight – we instead aim to give a global voice to local grassroots UX communities.
The power of community
Today we are a registered non-profit under the name 24 Labs, indicating our future determination beyond today’s efforts. We are running our annual event for the 4th time, with speakers from every continent. And we run a community podcast, 24 Minutes of UX. But our beginnings are humble – read below.
2020 put a stop to in-person meetings of local UX communities. UXers across the world suffered from this loss of personal, and local-level exchange. We saw an opportunity in the challenge – so in 2020, over 20 local communities came together to create a grassroots global event reaching 7000 UX professionals. Since then, our event grew to include more and more communities and content. In 2022, our speakers covered every continent. From then onwards, this is our default goal.
We remaine a fully virtual event, bringing lesser-heard, but no less interesting voices to the global stage.
